In an effort to increase awareness of the Public Service, the Corporate Communication Division of the Ministry of Public Administration and Communications (MPAC) conducted a Public Service Outreach campaign, themed Discover More, Develop Together. The theme of “discovery” allowed the public to learn more about the wide range of services, activities, jobs and projects within the Public Service, and the great work that has been and continues to be done for Trinidad and Tobago. The “development” aspect of the theme invited members of the public to register for services, including e-services, and foster partnerships with public services to improve their communities and ultimately, the country.
Taking the outreach sessions “on the road”, in high-traffic commercial locations allowed the campaign maximum interaction with our public.
Three (3) outreach sessions were held:
· Gulf City Mall - Saturday April 28, 2018
· Trincity Mall - Friday May 25, 2018
· Trincity Mall – Thursday 19 and Friday 20 July, 2018
Over thirty Ministries, Departments and Agencies participated over the course of all the sessions, reaching hundreds of persons. The participating agencies included the Drainage Division and Traffic Branch of the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Customs and Excise Division of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Ministry of Planning and Development, among others
