Transformation in the Trinidad and Tobago Public Service is not static but has been progressively evolving since the post-independence era.
Transformation in the context of the Public Service involves the development of innovative solutions to ensure that the delivery of Government’s goods and services is of a high standard to meet the changing needs of customers and citizens in a competitive global environment.
The Ministry of Public Administration is therefore involved in continuous improvements in key system areas such as Service Improvement, ICTs and Strategic Human Resource Management.
These plans require putting in place policies, systems and processes to support effective decision making. To achieve Public Service Transformation there is need for networking and promoting of partnerships among the public sector, corporate sector and civil society organisations to provide an enabling environment that would ultimately strengthen Government’s delivery mechanism to play a positive role in national socio-economic development.
